Kindergarten Teacher
Location: Comstock Independent School District – Comstock, TX
Comstock ISD is a small, close-knit 1A district serving approximately 175 students. Our Kindergarten program currently has 6 students, offering a unique opportunity for a teacher to make a meaningful impact in a highly personalized learning environment.
We are seeking an energetic, innovative, and student-centered educator who is passionate about early childhood education and ready to build and grow our Kindergarten program.
Responsibilities
- Create a nurturing and engaging classroom environment that fosters curiosity, creativity, and a love for learning.
- Design and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS).
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners in a small class setting.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administration to support student growth and development.
- Contribute to the positive, family-like culture of Comstock ISD.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in education (required).
- Valid Texas Teaching Certificate (EC–6 or Early Childhood certification preferred).
- Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills.
- Enthusiasm for working in a small rural district where every student matters.

Special Education Teacher (K–12)
Location: Comstock Independent School District – Comstock, TX
Comstock ISD is a small, family-oriented 1A district serving approximately 175 students. We are committed to ensuring that every student has the resources and support they need to succeed. Our Special Education program currently serves a caseload of about 12–15 students across multiple grade levels, and we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate educator to lead this important work.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized instruction to students with diverse learning needs in grades K–12.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with parents, teachers, and administrators.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed.
- Support inclusion by collaborating with general education teachers to ensure student success in the least restrictive environment.
- Maintain compliance with state and federal special education requirements.
- Foster a positive, supportive, and growth-oriented environment for students and families.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in education (required).
- Valid Texas Teaching Certificate with Special Education certification (EC–12).
- Strong understanding of differentiated instruction and special education law.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Commitment to building strong relationships with students, families, and staff.
