Kindergarten Teacher

Location: Comstock Independent School District – Comstock, TX

Comstock ISD is a small, close-knit 1A district serving approximately 175 students. Our Kindergarten program currently has 6 students, offering a unique opportunity for a teacher to make a meaningful impact in a highly personalized learning environment.

We are seeking an energetic, innovative, and student-centered educator who is passionate about early childhood education and ready to build and grow our Kindergarten program.

Responsibilities

Create a nurturing and engaging classroom environment that fosters curiosity, creativity, and a love for learning.
Design and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS).
Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners in a small class setting.
Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administration to support student growth and development.
Contribute to the positive, family-like culture of Comstock ISD.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in education (required).
Valid Texas Teaching Certificate (EC–6 or Early Childhood certification preferred).
Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills.
Enthusiasm for working in a small rural district where every student matters.

Special Education Teacher (K–12)

Location: Comstock Independent School District – Comstock, TX

Comstock ISD is a small, family-oriented 1A district serving approximately 175 students. We are committed to ensuring that every student has the resources and support they need to succeed. Our Special Education program currently serves a caseload of about 12–15 students across multiple grade levels, and we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate educator to lead this important work.

Responsibilities

Provide specialized instruction to students with diverse learning needs in grades K–12.
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with parents, teachers, and administrators.
Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed.
Support inclusion by collaborating with general education teachers to ensure student success in the least restrictive environment.
Maintain compliance with state and federal special education requirements.
Foster a positive, supportive, and growth-oriented environment for students and families.
