Dr. Cardin selected as Lone Finalist for the Position of Superintendent at CISD

Yesterday, March 20^th, the CISD Board of Trustees named Dr. Richard Cardin as the Lone Finalist for the position of superintendent at CISD. Dr. Cardin is currently serving as the K-12 principal at Nordheim ISD. Being named as Lone Finalist means that there is a mandatory 21 day waiting period before the Board can officially hire Dr. Cardin as superintendent. 

Dr. Cardin sent the following statement:

"I am honored to join Comstock ISD as your new Superintendent. With over 27 years in education, I have always believed that strong schools are built on communication, collaboration, and trust. I’m excited to work alongside our dedicated staff, supportive families, and outstanding students to continue the tradition of excellence in Comstock. Together, we will create opportunities that prepare every student for a successful future.”  

The Board is excited about the future of CISD and excited to have Dr. Cardin join CISD. He has extensive experience in Career and Technology programs and will be instrumental in starting the expanded CTE program at CISD.
